My primary goal is to secure a full-time role within an elite or professional sporting environment in sports science, performance, or data analysis. I want to continue developing my technical skills in performance analysis, athlete monitoring, and data interpretation while gaining hands-on experience within high-performance systems. I’m also focused on expanding my professional network, continuing to work within representative sport environments, and positioning myself for long-term progression within elite sport and high-performance programs. | I want to work within elite or professional sport in a high-performance role that combines coaching, sports science, and analysis. I’d also love to contribute to the international growth and development pathways of American football. |
What sporting problem keeps Frederick up at night, and how would you solve it?
I’d love to help bridge the gap between data and practical application so athletes and coaches can make clearer, faster, and more effective decisions.
I’d also like to help develop clearer pathways for international American football athletes, creating more structured opportunities for players to progress into professional environments and competitions globally.
What is Frederick like?
What kind of environment do you thrive in?
Collaborative, ambitious, and growth-oriented environments where people challenge each other to improve.
When have you had to show resilience in your life or career?
Breaking into sport is highly competitive, so a lot of my growth has come through volunteering, long hours, and continually backing myself without guaranteed opportunities. I’ve stayed committed because I genuinely want to build a long-term career in the industry.
Outside of that, I grew up in a unique environment, moving internationally due to my dad’s work and living in six different countries before the age of 20. Experiencing different cultures, environments, and constant change taught me adaptability, resilience, and strong interpersonal skills from a young age, while also presenting its own challenges along the way.
What about Frederick’s interests outside of work?
What are your interests outside of work?
Watching sport, staying active, travelling, cooking, and spending quality time with friends and family.
What is your favourite sporting moment?
Has to be the most recent Super Bowl (Go Hawks). I'm sure getting to see my first NFL game in person at the MCG in September will come pretty close too.
What’s your ideal holiday?
A trip that combines travel, sport, and culture - ideally attending live sporting events while exploring a new country.
If you had 30 minutes to pick the brain of anyone, who would it be and why?
Sir Alex Ferguson - because of his unmatched ability to build and sustain success over decades. I’d want to understand how he managed constant squad evolution, maintained high standards and culture over time, and kept players motivated and accountable across so many different eras of the game.
What’s one book or podcast that’s helped your career you recommend?
A podcast that has helped me is Chris Williamson's Modern Wisdom podcast. It’s given me a better understanding of high performance, mindset, and personal development, and has influenced how I think about consistency, discipline, and long-term improvement in both sport and work.
