What can Yash do?
Give a quick overview of your work experience (jobs, internships, volunteering)?
Leeds United, Kiosk Operative & Supervisor: Over two seasons at Leeds United, I progressed from Kiosk Operative to Supervisor, managing high-volume food service for up to 5,000 fans on match days. My performance was recognised with Employee of the Month for December 2023, and I demonstrated leadership by independently controlling a queue of over 3,000 fans during a high-pressure situation.
Yorkshire Cricket Foundation, Match-Day Volunteer: As part of the Operations Team at Headingley, I managed crowd flow, controlled areas around the dugout, and assisted lost spectators across high-attendance match days. I also collaborated with a Trivision engineer on live screen operations, showing my ability to contribute across both fan-facing and technical functions.
Sussex County Cricket Club, Match-Day Support: I supported event operations for crowds exceeding 5,000 fans, overseeing crowd movement, fan engagement, and overall matchday coordination. I consistently maintained composure under pressure, ensuring every aspect of the event ran smoothly from start to finish.
McDonald's, Crew Member: I managed customer-facing operations during peak hours, trained new staff within months of joining, and regularly supported the shift manager in running shifts. During an IT system crash, I independently kept the front of the restaurant running while the manager resolved the issue.
Do you have a track record of delivering measurable outcomes or KPIs?
I do have experience, but not in sports. It’s at McDonald's, I have served more than 100+ customers during rush hours consistently.
What technical or industry-specific skills do you bring?
Fan engagement
Crowd Management
Family-Friendly Event Support
Live Event Operations
What tools/platforms/software are they proficient in?
Intermediate in Microsoft Office
What qualifications, certifications, or degrees do you hold?
I hold a Master's Degree in Sports Events Management from Leeds Beckett University, Leeds, England, United Kingdom.
Master's Dissertation on Kabaddi: I chose to write my dissertation on the use of events in the development of Kabaddi, a topic so unique that my supervising professor had never encountered the sport before. This reflected my drive to pursue original thinking and take on challenges where no established academic path exists.
I also work well under pressure as pressure brings the best out of me, and I succeed.
A crazy sports enthusiast like me can deliver results on time while being passionate about what I do. When it’s sports, I give my 100%. I also work well under pressure, as pressure brings the best out of me, and I succeed.
What steps has Yash taken to break into the sports industry?
I tried attending networking events both online and in person, but I didn't get much response when I tried speaking to people after the event on LinkedIn. I also applied for jobs without any knowledge.
Yash’s interest in sports all started from watching India lift the Cricket World Cup in 2011
It all started in the 2011 Cricket World Cup Final. It was being played in my city, and I was watching TV as I didn't know how to go to a game. I was merely 11 years old at that time. After the final six was hit by our captain, the entire nation erupted in joy, and I too started bursting firecrackers. Since then, I got addicted to the game and that led me to start dreaming about the UK, where the Sports Culture is very rich. Fast forward to 2021, I came to the UK for my Master’s in Sports Management and worked for various events, some paid and some unpaid. It gave me immense pleasure seeing happy faces all around, and I realised that at this job, I was not looking at the clock to go home. In fact, I didn't wanna go home at all. But they say all good things come to an end. So, I made it my life goal to make my younger self happy and fulfil his dream to work in his favourite Sports all around the world, wherever it takes me.

Since then, Yash has gone on to achieve things like
