- On why organisations should take a punt on her

I might not have decades of experience in the sports industry yet, but I make up for that with initiative, reliability, and a real drive to learn. I’ve been on the fan side — I know what great sporting experiences feel like — and I want to help create that for others. Give me a chance, and I’ll give it everything I've got. I work hard and learn fast.

What steps has Gabriella taken to break into the sports industry?

  • Becoming a part of the SportsGrad program, volunteering and starting to build connections within the industry.

Gabriella’s interest in sport all started from watching the A-League with her Dad

My passion for sport began early — I started attending A-League matches with my dad in 2005 and have been a dedicated fan ever since. One of my most vivid memories is celebrating Italy’s 2006 World Cup victory on Norton Street in Leichhardt, where I was captivated by the energy and sense of community that sport creates. That feeling has stayed with me ever since. During school, I discovered a love for organisation and event planning, which naturally combined with my enthusiasm for sport. Together, these experiences have shaped my passion for working in the sports industry — to help create the same excitement, connection, and joy that I’ve always valued as a fan.
