Do you have a track record of delivering measurable outcomes or KPIs?
In my role at Cricket Victoria, I grew the audience of the Victorian Premier Cricket Instagram from around 6,000 to just under 7,000 in the space of six months.
I also grew the Instagram channel’s reach from 1.5 million in the 2023-24 summer period to 2 million in the 2024-25 summer period.

What steps has Josh taken to break into the sports industry?
I've started to become involved in SportsGrad meetups, through events in previous jobs I've met members of Australia's professional sporting industry.
Otherwise haven't really taken massive steps.
Why do you want to work in the sports industry?
Growing up here in Melbourne, all I've really known is the sporting industry, and I have grown to love it the older I've gotten. A fair few people say sport is life's greatest drama, and it truly is. It also provides people with the greatest adrenaline rush, whether that be soccer, horse racing, AFL, or NRL. And, more importantly, it brings people together. It reunites long-lost friends and creates special memories that people never forget. I hope to create even more memories for myself and others as a member of the sporting industry.

Why so much money is being poured into certain events and athletes, specifically from organisations/clubs in the Middle East.

When have you had to show resilience in your life or career?
Towards the end of the most recent footy season, when I was working almost seven days a week in my most recent role to help deliver finals and events in the Northern Football Netball League. For me it was hard as someone who hadn't experienced that previously and had stepped into the role.

What are your interests outside of work?
Keeping active (gym, running).
Watching movies and TV shows.

Hanging out with family and friends.
What is your favourite sporting moment?
Scott Boland's 6-7 against England, Boxing Day Test 2021-22.
What’s your ideal holiday?
New York City in the middle of winter, watching NFL and NBA games at MetLife Stadium and Madison Square Garden.
If you had 30 minutes to pick the brain of anyone, who would it be and why?
LeBron James, I'd personally love to know how he's stayed at the top of his game for so long now.
What’s book or podcast that’s helped your career you recommend?
Listening to 'Triple M Footy's' Podcasts have helped me gain a newfound appreciation and enjoyment of the sporting industry.

Having a good manager, salary, and being at a place where I can utilise and develop the skills I've gained.
