I can become a Swiss Army knife when it comes to content creation.

- On why organisations should take a punt on him

The reason why someone should take a punt on me is because I'm always willing to learn, and with the right resources and people to learn from I can become a Swiss Army knife when it comes to content creation. Eventually, down the line someone else is going to bring that same mentality, wanting to learn and become flexible and adaptable in different situations, and I would like to be at the forefront of that to demonstrate continual success.

What steps has Jullian taken to break into the sports industry?

  • Firstly started volunteering as a journalist with Kick360, just writing online articles covering the 2022 FIFA World Cup, 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup and NPL Victoria.

  • In my last year of uni, I got the opportunity to intern at Channel Seven Melbourne as a Shadow News Reporter. Going out in the field with some sports journalists such as Mitch Cleary, Kate Massey and Laura Spurway.

  • After Channel Seven, I completed an internship as a writer for Soccerscene. Covering the business side of the soccer world and also interviewing SportsGrad member, Nathan Perrone, while he was the partnerships manager at Western United.

  • Once I graduated uni, my content creation journey started posting on my account on TikTok, focusing on soccer transfer news.

  • Then joined IFCPF in March 2025. Helping with video editing and creating promo videos for their socials. Also collaborating with multiple national footballing bodies (Football Australia, Canada Soccer, U.S. Soccer).

  • Now, I’m also helping out with SportsGrad with content creation and video editing for their socials.

Jullian’s interest in sports all started from flicking straight to the back of the newspaper

Sports has always been a huge passion of mine since I was very young and one of my earliest memories of sport is watching any sport on TV every opportunity possible and always flicking straight to the back of the newspaper just to read all the latest sports news. As I’ve grown older, I’ve shown more appreciation for the promotional side of sports. Whether that’s an ad, video, a post or a photo hyping a sports event, and now I just really want to be a part of it and showcase my creativity and passion for sport through media.

Since then, Jullian has gone on to work in content creation, achieving things like

Achievement 1

Achievement 2

Achievement 3

Generated over 120k views over eight promo videos across three IFCPF tournaments.

Collaborated with Football Australia, Canada Soccer, U.S. Soccer Federation and KNVB (Netherlands) with IFCPF.

Interviewed players such as Nani, Callum Talbot and Oli Sail.

Where does Jullian want to go?

Next six months

Next 12 months

Next 5-10 years

Continue to work with IFCPF and SportsGrad with content creation and video editing and continue to refine my skills.

Hopefully, I get to attend a tournament with IFCPF, allowing me to help create more content.

Hopefully, collaborate with other sports content creators.

Find full-time work in the sports media industry: Whether that's a sports media company, team, league or governing body.

I also want to work in various roles and not be limited to just one. Such as editing, videography, producing and content creation.

Work overseas with a sports media company, team, league or governing body. Hopefully, worked with the Premier League or at a FIFA World Cup.

With all the experiences I gained and with my content creation skills refined, hopefully start up a media company myself, working with athletes and sports companies.

What sporting problem keeps Jullian up at night, and how would you solve it?

Show more appreciation and awareness towards disability in sport. I think it’s fascinating that these athletes are still performing at a high standard despite what they have to go through.

One way of solving the lack of awareness of disability in sport is creating more exposure through social media, TV and online. It’s currently being done, but more work needs to be done and potentially it could have a similar growth to what we’ve seen in Women’s Sports in the past.

What is Jullian like?

  1. What kind of environment do you thrive in?

  • An encouraging and collaborative environment where people are allowed to express who they are.

  1. When have you had to show resilience in your life or career?

  • I was quite naive to think that I was going to find full-time work straight out of uni and was applying for any jobs in journalism. Unfortunately did not find anything. Where I demonstrated my resilience was getting into content creation for myself regarding soccer transfer news on TikTok. And eventually down the line, I asked my friend who was a part of IFCPF to volunteer and join their social media team and create content.

What about Jullian’s interests outside of work?

  1. What’s your ideal holiday?

  1. If you had 30 minutes to pick the brain of anyone, who would it be and why?

  • Kobe Bryant or Pep Guardiola- their mentality and their knowledge of their respective sports are on another level, and their adaptability in different situations and to still perform at an elite level is unmatched.

  1. What book or podcast has helped in your career?
