In my desired role (media). Have done 2 internships as social media manager/digital marketing lead. One being in Cricket and the other being in Baseball.
Worked numerous amount of Hospitality jobs as well.

Improving social media KPI metrics such as engagement and views, with Dandenong Baseball Association

Ability to work in a fast paced environment
What tools/platforms/software are they proficient in?
Adobe platforms premier pro and to a lesser extent Photoshop. Canva as well

Bachelor of Sports Media
I am biased but I haven’t met too many people who have the obsessive passion to sport like I do.
My love for sport is no doubt my number one attribute. This passion fuels my drive to have a career in the media industry of sport.

Lachie’s interest in sport all started when he was growing up
Ever since I can ever remember Sport has been my dream to work in. Can’t remember a day where I hadn’t consumed any sport. It surrounds everything I do. A couple of years ago I was struggling with what I wanted to do for my career. I came across a bachelor of Sports Media at Holmesglen and it was everything I wanted. Having done internships behind the scenes at sporting organisation has further added to my drive to work in the industry.

What sporting problem keeps Lachie up at night, and how would they solve it?
Show more behind the scenes of players and their personalities. Like how it is done in America. Feel that Australia has a problem with players showing personality and when they do they get shot down.
What is Lachie like?
What kind of environment do you thrive in?
A hands on environment, where I am not just sitting in an office the whole time. An environment where I can work with people, love working with people.
When have you had to show resilience in your life or career?
When my grandfather passed away in year 12 just a few weeks before my exams were about to get under way. Losing someone that important was a real struggle and had to overcome it.
What about Lachie’s interests outside of work?
What are your interests outside of work?
Love dogs, music festivals, obviously sport, travel
What is your favourite sporting moment?
Would be Goddard mark against Collingwood in the grand final. Although we ended up drawing and ultimately losing. That moment will always be special in my heart
What’s your ideal holiday?
First condition would be summer 25 degrees, with beaches nearby and plenty of friends around.
If you had 30 minutes to pick the brain of anyone, who would it be and why?
Michael Jordan, very intriguing man, the last dance gave an insight into his mindset, but I’d love to really know what makes him fully tick outside his second to none white line fever.
