Give a quick overview of your work experience (jobs, internships, volunteering)?
I have previous work in Sports roles as a Coach and as a program officer who runs the sports programs for School children.
On top of that a volunteer Coaching and Managing of a All age Football team in Sydney.
Previous internship experience working with Sydney Thunder running the activations and gala days for different events around Greater Sydney
Do you have a track record of delivering measurable outcomes or KPIs?
Through my hospitality roles I have had to adhere to different measurable outcomes such as labour results.
Ordering budgets and food costs.
What technical or industry-specific skills do you bring?
I am well versed in open and effective communication especially in customer service.
I have plenty of Coaching experience in which I also do well with people and time management.
What tools/platforms/software are they proficient in?
Proficient in Social Media, Google Docs etc.
What qualifications, certifications, or degrees do you hold?
I hold a Bachelors of Business, majoring in Sports Management.
I will always strive to accomodate those goals of an organisation and do my best to make them happen,
I will always put in 100%, I have strong feelings about what I do for work and my goals. And of course I am hugely passionate about sports and love to help out however I can.
What steps has Nicolas taken to break into the sport industry?
Finding different roles such as the sports coaching as well as volunteering as a coach for a football team.
I also now have looked to expand my knowledge and network with the help of SportsGrad.

I want to work in the sports industry to feel like I am contributing to the success of the Australian Sporting Landscape as a whole. I am passionate about our country and the belief that we are one of the best sporting nations in the world.

Having as much passion and quality for Australian Football as we hold for overseas competitions

I thrive in an environment where others are all enjoying themselves and are able to be themselves
When have you had to show resilience in your life or career?
I have had times in my personal career where I felt like an imposter, however finding a breakthrough role even if it is one that as a coaching role helped me to take the next step into finding a full time in the sporting industry.

What are your interests outside of work?
Love to watch and play all kinds of Sports.
Keeping active through Biking and going to the Gym
What is your favourite sporting moment?
Either watching Matt Leckie score against Denmark to make it into the knockouts of the World Cup at 2am in Sydney or Watching the Matildas in the stadium beat Denmark in the World Cup.
What’s your ideal holiday?
My ideal holiday would to travel all over Europe and explore all the beautiful countries and experience all the unique cultures from around Europe, and of course go watch the football all around Europe.
If you had 30 minutes to pick the brain of anyone, who would it be and why?
Pep Guardiola, the way he thinks about Football and his philosophies are above anyone else and would love to be able to take that knowledge as my own
What’s book or podcast that’s helped your career you recommend?
I don’t have any, but would love to listen to more podcasts this year and expand my knowledge through it.
